Reaching out for support can be a vulnerable step to take. When our world feels chaotic, isolated, or even dangerous, taking the step to engage in therapeutic support can be a place to begin to work towards healing, change, and growth.
Whitney Miller’s approach to this work is based in relationship with you, building a strong sense of care, connection, humor, and insight. Whitney’s hope is to support her clients as they create a life that feels aligned with their values and integrates the many parts of themselves. Her clinical experience includes working with individual adults & adolescents, couples, and groups. Areas of focus include depression, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, grief and loss, sexuality and gender, academic and athletic performance, family and intimate relationships, life transitions, and religious trauma. Whitney Miller utilizes a person-centered orientation in her practice, layering in somatic approaches, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, and mindfulness-based strategies. Whitney works to adjust her approach to fit the individual needs of each client. Whitney Miller has completed trainings in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, Attachment-Focused EMDR, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1, and is currently engaged in further somatic training.
Whitney Miller considers it a great privilege to work with clients on issues deeply personal and challenging. She is an affirming mental health care provider and feels deeply dedicated towards anti-racist work and support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Whitney is committed to providing a welcoming space for clients of all backgrounds, beliefs, races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, and values.
In her free time, Whitney enjoys trail running, hiking, cooking, fawning over any and all dogs, spending time with her fiance and family, and soaking up our gorgeous state.
Whitney received her Master’s Degree (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montana in July of 2023. She holds a certificate as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with the Board of Nationally Certified Counselors. She holds her Licensed Clinical Professional License (LCPC) in the state of Montana.
