“If you’ve ever thought, ‘I should have figured this out by now,’ you’re not alone! Whatever you’re facing, reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I strive to make it as comfortable as possible. I aim to offer a steady, compassionate presence, helping clients reconnect with hope and move forward in a way that feels manageable and grounded.”
Kateri Kuhlow is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who works with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. Kateri also supports couples who want to deepen their understanding of one another, strengthen communication, and rebuild connection. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and centered on creating a space where emotions are validated, experiences are honored, and your pace is respected.
Kateri’s Kuhlow’s therapeutic style blends authenticity, encouragement, and gentle humor. She integrates person-centered and trauma-informed care with evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to support clients in developing a kinder, more compassionate response to challenging thoughts and emotions, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), to support individuals and couples in understanding emotional patterns and building stronger, more secure relationships. Kateri is engaged in ongoing training for attachment-focused EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, because sometimes the body tells the story before the words do.
Kateri earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montana in 2024 and has experience supporting a diverse range of clients across different ages, backgrounds, and presenting concerns.
“I hope clients feel supported and empowered as they explore what matters most to them and move toward choices aligned with their values. I am drawn to this work because I believe healing is nurtured through connection, compassion, and feeling truly seen. Nobody should feel alone.”
Outside of her practice, Kateri enjoys spending time with her dogs, getting outdoors and into the water, and watching hockey, often with more emotional investment than she would like to admit.
